Common Questions

Do you offer gift orders?

Yes, we do! Simply add a comment during checkout or shoot us an email at sales@schmidtsfudgehaus.com letting us know that your order is meant as a gift. You can add a personalized message to the order for free and during the holidays, we offer gift wrapping for a small added cost. Whether you mark an order as a gift or not, product prices are removed from the shipping manifest.

What are your cutoff dates for large holiday orders?

If you are placing a special order for the holidays, please have your order in a minimum of two weeks before the holiday, especially for Christmas. While it is possible to place large orders online, we do ask that you call us for these orders in order for us to best serve your needs and make sure that we have everything right for whatever event you are planning! Can I cancel an order?

As we aim to ship out all orders on the next available business day, the window for cancelling an order is very small.

We cannot guarantee that an order will be cancelled once placed unless a message has been sent to us within an hour of the order being confirmed. We do apologize if this causes any inconvenience.

Shipping & Processing

Do you offer international shipping?

We do not unfortunately. Given that many of our products are perishable and prone to melting, the time it would take for an order to ship internationally would result in a less than stellar experience by the time it arrived.

Where do you ship?

We ship to all 48 continental states plus Alaska and Washington D.C.

How long will my order take to ship?

We aim to ship next day if possible though extreme weather and restocking of certain products may delay shipping slightly.

Additionally, in order to prevent perishable products from being held in trucks or warehouses over the weekend, we normally only ship orders out Monday-Wednesday.

What carriers are used for shipping?

For the majority of orders, we use either USPS Priority Mail or USPS Ground. For select orders that are travelling a great distance or weigh above average, we may use Fedex 2-Day.

Our goal is always have your order to you in two days or less from when the time we ship it out. This is not a guarantee unfortunately, as once the package is handed off to USPS/Fedex, we are unable to control how those services handle the package.

Chocolate & Candy Questions

I am worried about my chocolates melting

We offer cold packs that you can add to your package for $5 and it is possible to buy multiple packs if so desired. We also may delay orders when needed to avoid heat waves and keep your treats from melting. Please reach out to us before your order ships if you have any concerns.

How long does fudge stay good?

Fudge will dry out over time so it is important to keep it sealed in an airtight container or wrapped in wax paper to preserve freshness. It will keep for 2-3 weeks at room temperature and up to 6 months in the freezer. It is not recommended to store fudge in the refrigerator as this may cause the fudge to dry out faster.

Are any of your products nut/gluten/dairy/allegen free?

All of our gourmet chocolates and fudges are handmade and share a common prep area. While this area is cleaned between batches to limited cross contamination, we cannot promise that any handmade product has not come into contact with nuts, gluten, or dairy while being made. If you have a serious allergy to any of these foods, we highly recommend not purchasing any of the fudges or gourmet chocolates.

We do carry No Whey!'s line of vegan chocolates that are nut, dairy, and gluten free to help fill this gap in our offerings.

Are any of your products Kosher/Halal?

At this time, none of our handmade confections or fudges are Kosher or Halal.
